Playing around with a poster, can you see the text?
These are some stickers I am going to get printed to coincide with my publication. The website should be up and running in the next few months.
This bike project has been great fun but of course a lot of hard work. I haven’t even finished it yet and everyone is summing up their experience. Non the less the past few weeks have been non stop. I feel I could of achieved more but then again I have done as much as I could for now so that’s good enough, disregarding what are final grades are we have got a lot more ahead of us now. I have gained an incredible amount of knowledge in the past few years in side uni and out, but what I haven’t forgot is to not take things too seriously (figure of speech) everything always works out for the best.
Managed to get a paste up in the end today, it is great fun and a great way to advertise. I plan to carry on the technique with more designs in the future, hopefully making it monthly occurrence with friends. Manchester needs more artwork on its streets.
Soon to be pasted in A0 onto a city centre wall, the image could feature as the front cover to my book.
Created this texture from an old chain, I think it looks great, it holds an interesting subtle contrast of light and dark greys.
This is an insight into what the book will look like, imagery and succinct text…
Quickly made some page numbers for the publication I intend to create.
Black and white again, I am not the best with choosing colour. Early in development, this could feature in the publication if I can get it to fit into the composition.
I made this painting of my logo in some spare time, it’s great working on large scales.
This is a possible front cover design, however it is very bold and contrasting, it might not be suitable for a front cover in that respect, I would prefer something contemporary for a front cover, sleek/ stylish.
Many bikes, I will be using this to fill a page in my publication. It doesn’t need a message in the drawing, leave it to personal interpretation it could denote something more then just many bikes.
A quick poster experiment, it doesn’t really create any aesthetic appreciation and is very hard to look at, you dont know where to focus. I doubt i’ll feature this in my publication.
I am thinking of calling the publication I make along the lines of “Cycling in my opinion” or something along those lines. The book will be filled with expressions about cycling, including images like this, it all needs developing, at this stage it is idea based.
Created some illustrations for my NMP, I have come to the decision to give my project a new direction. Creating a business identity was boring and I wasn’t making use of my time due to the lack of motivation. Instead, I am developing the bicycle promotion side of the project. The image above are drawings that could feature in the publication I intend to create.
